The secrets of the Dead Sea

Nature has endowed the Dead Sea region, the lowest point on earth, with a rare combination of unique health-giving properties. Year after year the area draws an ever growing number of tourists and patients , seeking relief for the body and rest of the soul.

The Dead Sea region is one of the driest in the world, with less than 50 mm annual rainfall and high air temperatures all year round. From November to April average maximum temperatures are 20-29 C; during the months of May and September / October : 32-37 C; and June/July/August temperatures hover around 38-40 C. Even in the middle of winter, days are warm and nights pleasantly cool.

These climatic factors are the cause of the high rate of evaporation from the Dead Sea, creating a unique haze that hangs over the entire area. The high concentration of bromide in the region has an extremely relaxing effect on the nervous system. Moreover it filters out the harmful UVB rays, thus enabling tanning rather than burning.

At the same time, the very low humidity, allied to the high rate of evaporation, has a bracing effect, since it increases the metabolic activity of the body. The Dead Sea region is also the richest in Oxygen, 10% more than at Mediterranean Sea level. The absence of polluting factors, such as industry, heavy traffic or allergens contribute to the remarkably pure air.

The Dead Sea's unique chemical composition of Chloride, Bicarbonate, Sulphate, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium endows the water with considerable curative properties.
In addition to the wealth of natural treasures of the Dead Sea provides the perfect ingredients for natural beauty care and total relaxation, the major factors, the sun and the sea, have served as a basis for the treatments of many different medical conditions:

a) Skin diseases, especially Psoriasis, Neurodermitis and Vitiligo.

b) Muscle and joint diseases, especially Polyarthritis.

c) Respiratory diseases, such as Sinusitis, Emphysema and Cystic Fibrosis

d) Physical rehabilitation and psychometric ailments.
Besides medical care, the Dead Sea radiates an extraordinary atmosphere.
The environment has a soothing influence. There is no stress, no worry, only leisure and relaxation...
